I think all the badges we've had without the castle are miles better than the ones with.
The "castleless" ones have a brilliant simplicity which really shows up the overfussiness of the "castle" ones.
This makes the new badge a huge improvement on the previous one.
It might not be the best of the "castleless" ones, though.

It's funny, I remember people going mad about the change to the current one - it's cartoony, why have they taken 'FC' off, where are the tops of the turrets?
Odd how now it's perfect and should never be changed.

About 20 years ago, I treated myself to a WH tattoo. A few of my mates have had the badge tattooed over the years.
I'm relieved to say that my choice of design all those years ago was a simple crossed hammers.

It's a badge, it's crossed hammers as it was before the castle was added yes London is there to appeal to a worldwide market and it's not my preferred style but like all of the changes over the years I'm sure I'll get used to it

The 'vote' was done over 48 hours or so. Who voted? No option to keep current crest.
Im not totally against changing (although preferred to keep it) I just can't see how an adult thinks it looks good?

Cough, I watched the video of how the design was arrived at, and am aware of why it was incorporated and what it's meant to represent.
I don't understand why I would have to include that in a every post on the topic.
if I refer to it as a vertical split, it's probably because that's what it's ended up looking like. it looks no more than the front of a ship, than any other clubs crests that incorporate the same vertical split.

The new design was our badge prior to the castle being incorporated but still idiots scream it's a betrayal of our history

The current font and the new font are virtually the same, both are Sans Serif fonts with the exception that the old one is condensed
